Estamos próximos a la celebración del Bicentenario, sin embargo conocemos muy poco de él, en el caso particular de la arquitectura ocurre lo mismo, la escasez y falta de difusión de investigaciones sobre este periodo se evidencia en el desconocimiento y valor que la sociedad le da a muchos hechos y edificios representativos que han construido nuestra historia y ciudades, ni que decir de las instituciones, que evaden en muchos casos su principal función y finalidad.

We are close to the celebration of the Peruvian Bicentennial, however we know very little about it, in the particular case of architecture the same thing happens, the scarcity and lack of dissemination of research on this period is shown in the ignorance and poor value that society gives to many representative events and buildings that have built our history and cities, not to mention the institutions, which in many cases evade their main function and purpose.
