El nuevo Centro de Cultura y Artes de Zaha Hadid Architects incorpora un museo de arte contemporáneo (MICA, por sus iniciales en inglés), un teatro de 1.800 asientos con instalaciones de apoyo y una sala de usos múltiples. Su lenguaje arquitectónico orgánico se define por las rutas peatonales que se tejen a través del sitio para conectarse con las calles vecinas. Proporcionando vistas hacia el lago Meixi adyacente a la ciudad y dando acceso a los parques y senderos para caminar de la isla Festival Island del lago, este conjunto de tres instituciones culturales separadas crea patios externos donde las rutas peatonales se cruzan para eventos al aire libre y exhibiciones de esculturas.
El centro cultural y artístico más grande y versátil de la provincia de Hunan se conecta directamente con su estación en la línea 2 del nuevo sistema de metro de Changsha. Ubicada en rutas comerciales históricas a través de China, la tradición de la ciudad de Changsha como un importante centro de comunicaciones continúa como uno de los principales centros de medios del país, con el Grand Theatre (gran teatro) del centro que alberga un popular programa de actuaciones y producciones televisivas.

The new Zaha Hadid Architects Center for Culture and Arts incorporates a Contemporary Art Museum (MICA), an 1,800-seat theater with supporting facilities, and a multipurpose room. Its organic architectural language is defined by the pedestrian routes that are woven through the site for symbols with neighboring streets. Providing views towards Lake Meixi adjacent to the city and giving access to the parks and walking trails of Lake Festival Island, this set of three independent cultural institutions creates external courtyards where pedestrian routes intersect for outdoor events and sculpture exhibitions.
The largest and most versatile arts and cultural center in Hunan Province connects directly to its station on Line 2 of the new Changsha Subway System. Located on historical trade routes through China, Changsha City’s tradition as a major communications hub continues as one of the country’s leading media hubs, with the Grand Theater (grand theater) downtown hosting a popular program of television productions and performances.
