El proyecto “Escuela inicial y primaria en Union Alto Sanibeni” se encuentra ubicado en una comunidad nativa Ashaninka en la selva central de Perú, una de las áreas que han sido fuertemente afectadas por el conflicto armado entre el 1980 y 2000. El conflicto armado generó la migración de esta población a otras zonas del Perú y a partir del 1998 la comunidad ha vuelto a repoblar este territorio y ha fundado su primera escuela. Sin embargo, a los 20 años de funcionamiento, la escuela se encontraba en completo estado de abandono. El proyecto busca desarrollar la mejora del servicio educativo y la vida comunitaria. Asimismo la escuela beneficia alrededor de 200 niños y 1000 habitantes.
NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL, UNIÓN ALTO SANIBENI
The nursery and primary school project in Union Alto Sanibeni is located in a native Ashaninka community in the central jungle of Peru, one of the areas that has been strongly affected by the armed conflict during the 1990s. The conflict generated the migration of this native population to other areas of Peru, but since 1998 the community has repopulated this territory and founded its first school. After 20 years of operation however, the school was in a complete state of neglect. The project seeks to develop the improvement of education and community life. The school benefit around 200 children and 1,000 inhabitants.
