¿Cómo construir en un ámbito como el de la Plaza Belluga en el que con tanta fuerza están presentas la fachada monumental de la Catedral que proyectara el arquitecto Bort y el Palacio del Cardenal que da nombre a la plaza en la que intervino el arquitecto Canestro?
A ello se asoman, por un lado y tímidamente, edificios que en su modestia reconocen el valor de las arquitecturas mencionadas y que la burguesía local levantó para disfrutar en la Plaza de residencia y, por otro, al fondo, queda un solar propiedad de la ciudad q2ue procede del derribo de una casa barroca, responsable en su día de la transición entre las calles Frenería y San Patricio. El vacío a que dio lugar el derribo hace que la plaza pierda el sentido de contención y clausura que caracteriza a este tipo de espacios y, lo que es peor, deja ver nuevas construcciones que hacen innecesario y desgraciado acto de presencia en la plaza.

How to build in an area like the Plaza Belluga in which the monumental façade of the Cathedral projected by the architect Bort and the Palacio del Cardenal that gives its name to the square in which the architect Canestro intervened are so strongly presented?
On one side, timidly, there are buildings that in their modesty recognize the value of the aforementioned architectures and that the local bourgeoisie built to enjoy in the residence square and, on the other, in the background, there is a plot owned by the city hall that comes from the demolition of a baroque house, responsible in its day for the transition between Frenería and San Patricio streets. The void to which the demolition gave rise makes the square lose the sense of containment and closure that characterizes this type of space and, what is worse, reveals new constructions that make an unnecessary and unfortunate presence in the square.
