En 2011, Barozzi Veiga ganó el concurso internacional para la definición de un plan maestro para el nuevo Art District en Lausana, Suiza, Plataforma 10, y posteriormente diseñó y construyó el Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts Lausanne.
Como estrategia urbana, el masterplan implementa un nuevo vacío estructurante, una plaza pública en torno a la cual gravitan los nuevos museos. El vacío se extiende a lo largo del sitio y, al estar conectado con la plaza de la estación de tren existente, constituye un nuevo espacio público principal continuo. Las nuevas arquitecturas se convierten en el marco de la vida urbana de la ciudad y los contenedores del nuevo centro de arte público de Lausana.

In 2011 Barozzi Veiga won the international competition for the definition of a masterplan for the new Art District in Lausanne, Switzerland – Platform 10 – and subsequently designed and built the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts Lausanne.
As an urban strategy, the masterplan implements a new structuring void, a public square around which the new museums gravitate. The void stretches along the site and, being connected to the existing train station’s square, it constitutes a new continuous main public space. The new architectures become the frame of the urban life of the city and the containers of the new public art centre of Lausanne.
