CAMBOLÍN: EL POBLAMIENTO PREINCA EN EL VALLE DE SONCHE, AMAZONAS.

Los pueblos antiguos localizados en el actual departamento de Amazonas, no solo estuvieron concentrados en el valle del Utcubamba, sino también en varios de sus afluentes. Prácticamente los ríos que vierten sus aguas a dicho valle presentan vestigios de ocupaciones humanas desde tiempos que antecedieron a la conquista incaica. En algunos de ellos se han efectuado estudios que revelaron importantes datos para una mejor comprensión de la historia regional. Sin embargo, tales investigaciones aún no son suficientes, por lo cual se requiere incrementar nuevas informaciones. Solo cuando se ofrezcan aportes de un mayor número de asentamientos se podrá tener una idea más completa del desarrollo de las sociedades que poblaron el departamento de Amazonas. En esta línea de ideas, ofrecemos, en esta oportunidad, una breve información sobre el asentamiento de Cambolín, localizado en el valle de Sonche con la intención de llamar la atención acerca de su importancia orientada a realizar en él investigaciones detenidas que ofrezcan mejores conocimientos sobre el rol que éste cumplió en el contexto del poblamiento humano de Amazonas.

CAMBOLÍN: THE PRE-INCA SETTLEMENT IN THE SONCHE VALLEY, AMAZONAS.

The ancient towns located in the current department of Amazonas were not only concentrated in the Utcubamba valley, but also in several of its tributaries. Practically the rivers that pour their waters into this valley show traces of human occupation since times that preceded the Inca conquest. In some of them, studies have been carried out that revealed important data for a better understanding of regional history. However, such investigations are still not enough, for which it is required to increase new information. Only when contributions from a greater number of settlements are offered will it be possible to have a more complete idea of the development of the societies that populated the department of Amazonas. In this line of ideas, we offer, on this occasion, a brief information on the settlement of Cambolín, located in the Sonche valley with the intention of drawing attention to its importance aimed at carrying out detailed investigations that offer better knowledge about the role that it fulfilled in the context of the human settlement of Amazonas.
