Más que un simple proyecto de rehabilitación, el apartamento en Rua da Lapa era la oportunidad perfecta para recuperar la noble belleza de esta propiedad, antes oculta debido a su avanzado estado de deterioro. Con nuestro enfoque inicial de agregar valor a este espacio único, el atelier buscó organizar y adaptar el departamento al estilo de vida y necesidades particulares de sus propietarios. El punto de partida fue aprovechar al máximo sus características de piso a techo en todo el apartamento. Sin comprometer la historia intrínseca del departamento ni un enfoque revival purista, se hizo un tributo permanente a sus líneas ortogonales, creando altos marcos consecutivos que combinan con el color de la pared, acentuando sus características de piso a techo con puertas hechas de un singular plano de nogal

More than just a rehabilitation project, the apartment in Rua da Lapa was the perfect opportunity to reinstate this property’s noble beauty, previously hidden due to its advanced debilitated state. With our initial approach of adding value to this unique space, the atelier sought to organise and adapt the apartment to its owners lifestyle and particular needs. The starting point was to make the most use of its floor to ceiling features throughout the whole apartment. Without compromising the apartment’s intrinsic history nor a puristic revival approach, a permanent tribute was made to its orthogonal lines, creating tall consecutive frames that match the wall’s colour, accentuating its floor to ceiling features with doors made of a singular walnut plane
