El proyecto de reutilización funcional de la antigua fábrica Almag en Lumezzane ha adaptado la antigua planta industrial a las nuevas necesidades dictadas por la producción. El diseño no convierte espacios sino que los recupera adaptándolos al futuro desde un punto de vista regulatorio.
La reutilización del pasado y la investigación del nuevo «potencial expresivo» deben abordar la calidad y la singularidad del paisaje. El diseño se basa en la conservación y valorización de todas sus características, sean culturales, históricas, industriales y tecnológicas pero con una sensibilidad nueva, ambiental y sostenible. El edificio sigue teniendo una vida industrial pero ahora es nuevo, socialmente diferente.

The functional reuse project of the ex factory Almag in Lumezzane has adapted the old industrial plant to the new needs dictated by production. The design does not convert spaces but recovers them adapting them to the future from a regulatory point of view.
The re-use of the past and the research of new ‘expressive potential’ must deal with the quality and uniqueness of the landscape. The design is based on the conservation and valorization of all its characteristics, may they be cultural, historical, industrial and technological but with a new, environmental and sustainable sensitivity. The building continues to have an industrial life but is now new, socially different.
