Subiendo hacia el Puente de la Reyna, y antes de la Plaza Cuadrada, a la mano izquierda, dentro del mismo Jardín [del Príncipe] está la Casa llamada del Labrador, que s. M. Ha hecho construir para retirarse por las mañanas a su recreo y diversión: ella no tiene nada de lo que requiere su título, aunque al principio se pensó en ello: es casa de un Soberano por el gusto, la magnificencia de las salas, piezas y repartimientos, pintadas por don Mariano Maello, don Zacarías Velásquez y otros profesores; adornadas con sillerías, mesas, relojes, arañas de cristal, alfombr as, colgaduras, y otros muebles de mucho gusto, inteligencia y valor, que merecen relación separada.

Going up towards the Puente de la Reyna, and before the Plaza Cuadrada, on the left hand side, within the same Garden [of the Prince] is the House called of the Labrador, which His Majesty has built to retire in the mornings to her recreation and fun: he does not have anything that his title requires, although at first it was thought of: it is the house of a Sovereign because of the taste, the magnificence of the rooms, pieces and distributions, painted by don Mariano Maello, don Zacarías Velásquez and other teachers; adorned with chairs, tables, clocks, crystal chandeliers, carpets, hangings, and other furniture of great taste, intelligence, and value, which deserve a separate account.
